2010 calendar and activities

The Leggies Ladies meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm at Pujols - your €5 subscription buys you a raffle ticket and the lucky ticket holder gets their subscription returned.

 

 

2010:

 

January 6th:              Talk:  "Cancer Research" by Professor Philip Gallimore

                                          Competition:  My Worst Christmas Present

 

February 3rd:           Demonstration: "Kitchen Skills - A Cut Above The Rest" by chef Rob Wall

                                          Competition:  a decorated fairy cake

 

March 3rd:                 Talk and Demonstration:  "Country and Line Dancing" by Vivienne Gane.

                                          Competition:  Easter Bonnets.  Show off your design skills and wear a

                                        decorated hat!

 

April 7th:                     ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING followed by

                                    Talk:  "Showing at Crufts" by Annechien Smith

                                          Competition:  your favourite animal poem or book

 

April 21st:                   Keep  Fit with Vivienne Gane

                                  

May 5th:                      Leggies Outing to Plantes de Pailloles at LaCapelle-Biron (47150)                                                       

                                           Competition:  your favourite indoor plant

 

May 12th:                   Keep  Fit with Vivienne Gane

 

June 2nd:                    Guided Tour of Pujols -  a guided stroll around this fascinating

                                    mediaeval town, finishing with tea at the Leggies meeting hall.

June 27th                    Leggies annual charity event:  A Day At The Races. for photos click here

 

There were no meetings in July and August 2010.

 

September 1st:           Talk: "Working with Our Body’s Subtle Energy”  by  Sue Jarvis.  

                                      

October 6th:                ‘Fun and Fancy Dress’ by Annette Howard

 

November 3rd:            Talk:  “A History of the Knights Templar” by Brian Ayling

 

December 1st:             CHRISTMAS EATS::  getting into the Christmas mood early by bringing

                                       along your favourite home-made nibbles, savoury or sweet dishes to share.

                                       A recipe book will be available at the meeting so we are asking our members

                                      for their Christmas-themed recipes - please send these to Sandy Hewlett.
