the Lot-et-Garonne Girls for Informing, Educating and Socialising!
We are a non-political and non-religious social group for English-speaking ladies
of all ages and nationalities and we meet every first Wednesday afternoon of the
month at Pujols, close to Villeneuve-Sur-Lot in the Lot-et-Garonne (Dept. 47). Our
activities include a varied programme of speakers, outside visits, demonstrations
and competitions with a strong emphasis on friendship, mutual support and plenty
of laughter.
Come along and make new friends - you'll always be made very welcome!
The December 2011 meeting saw us bid “farewell” to our founding member and first President, Meryl Gregory (left), who is leaving for Wales to be closer to her family. Four years ago Meryl had the idea to create a women’s friendship group and it’s due to her tremendous enthusiasm and creativity that Leggies first came about. We now have a thriving membership, a lively social calendar and enduring friendships are made here. Meryl has been at the centre of our community for many years, setting up activities and entertainments and doing a lot of work for charities. She’ll be missed by her many friends in Leggies. Bonne voyage Meryl !!. Come back and visit soon.
NEXT MEETING: Wednesday 1st February 2012 "First Aid That Everyone Should Know" by Terry Lubbock
