A HELPING HAND:

Amongst our many members we find a wide variety of skills and experience and the following ladies have offered a 'helping hand' at no charge and ask only that you pass only the goodwill to others!  If you have anything that you could offer then do let us know - and, don't worry, you don't have to be a qualified expert! Whatever your skill or experience, if you are willing to share it and help another Leggie lady then please contact Sandy Hewlett to add to the website.

Here's one to start the ball rolling .....

Not quite sure what the doctor/dentist is telling you?  Even if your French is good it can be daunting to deal with medical matters in another language, so Jenny Ayling has offered her services to accompany anyone who might be worried about a forthcoming hospital/medical appointment.  Call her on 05 47 66 54 24  or email her at brianayling@aol.com.

USEFUL INFORMATION:   Pat Langley's husband has prepared a booklet to guide English speakers through the French medical system, particularly cancer patient services.  This has plenty of useful phrases translated into French.  A small donation (which will be forwarded to Cancer Support France) will be appreciated.  Contact Pat Langley on langley.sun@wanadoo.fr.    Some helpful information can also be found at Cancer Support France's website on this link:    http://www.cancersupportfrance.info/Cancer_Support_France/Help_files/Vocabulary%20Booklet.pdf
