It is often challenging to meet people when you first move to France or come to live in a new area like the Lot et Garonne. Leggies provides an opportunity for ladies to meet together in a friendly and social environment where they can make friends and get practical information.
Leggies was set up by a group of friends having coffee together. It became popular as friends invited new arrivals and eventually multiplied so much that it was apparent that an association was forming around them.
The association called Leggies welcomes English-speaking ladies of all nationalities and ages. Leggies exist to provide practical information, presentations by knowledgeable professionals, practical demonstration of skills, visits to experience the many beautiful places in the area, but principally for members to socialise and make friends.
Members run the association for members, and together they decide, what sort of direction they wish to go and what the programme should entail.
Leggies meets once a month in St Livrade Sur Lot for discussions and presentations, and they also run many visits and trips during the year.
When and Where do we meet
We meet on the second Friday of every month, at 2.30 pm, in the Centre Socio Culturel in Sainte-Livrade-Sur-Lot - it's in the centre of the town on the corner of the Rue Nationale and the Avenue de Siguenza, on the other side of the boulevard opposite the Pharmacie Nicomede. The entrance is on the left-hand side of the building. There is parking available including two blue badge places and ramp access at the back of the building.
Come along you will be made very welcome.
You can contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org or come to our next meeting listed in the forthcoming events. Location map below:
